Orchestra Solo List
Any Publisher is accepted. No Cadenzas will be required.
It may be noted where some solos can be found, but it is not required to use that edition.

PLEASE NOTE: 1. Required solos for Junior Region Orchestra are now the same as the
four-year rotating Intermediate All-State Solo list and are listed below or you can also access them at the state web site, http://www.njmea.org/allstateband/bandsolos.html#orchestra. Scales for Region I Junior HS Orchestra are different from those required for the All-State Intermediate Orchestra – please check the Region Junior Orchestra scales link after June 30, 2009 (anything listed prior to this date is not updated for 2009-10).

2. In order to audition for All-State Intermediate (String) Orchestra, a student
must first be accepted into their respective Region Junior Orchestra.

3. Any student in Grades 9-11 accepted into the Region 1 (North Jersey) High School Orchestra may audition for the All-State High School (Full) Orchestra. Any student in Grades 7-9 accepted into the Region 1 Junior HS Orchestra may audition for the Intermediate All-State Orchestra; however if a 9th Grader is accepted into both the HS and the Junior HS Region Orchestras, then the 9th Grader can only audition for one All-State group of his or her choice, High School or Intermediate Orchestra, not both.
