From the GARDEN STATE PARKWAY -or- ROUTE 17, north or south:
Follow to Route 4 East in Paramus, Take Route 4 East to Teaneck Road.
When you see Teaneck High School on your right, get into the right
lane for the Teaneck Road exit. Continue OVER Teaneck Road and make
the right turn to put you on Teaneck Road northbound. Continue until
you see the Teaneck Armory on your right.
***Counting the light at the Armory as one, you will travel
three lights. You are now at the intersection of Clinton Ave. and
Washington Ave. and the Roy W. Brown Middle School should be on your
left. Turn left, go over the railroad tracks and proceed up the hill
to the next traffic light (Prospect Ave.). Cross Prospect Ave. and
turn into
Bergenfield High School.
From the N.J. TURNPIKE - north:
Follow the N.J. Turnpike north to Route 95. Be sure to choose all
local (right) lanes,
Take exit "70-B" marked Teaneck Road, Teaneck.
You will pass under the overpass and turn right. You will then pass
over Route 95 and continue to drive past the GlenPointe
complex (hotel/shops/etc.) on your right. Switch to the right lane
and turn right onto Teaneck Road. Continue north on Teaneck Road past
Holy Name Hospital on your left. Continue north and you will pass
under Route 4, then you will come to the Teaneck Armory. Follow the
instructions as above (**).
From the GEORGE WASHINGTON BRIDGE:
Follow the signs for Route 4 West from the Bridge Plaza.
Continue on Route 4 West
until you see signs for Teaneck Road. Turn right onto Teaneck Road
North. Follow
Teaneck Road to the Teaneck Armory on your Right. Continue with the
instructions
Above (**). NOTE: In the event you miss the rum for Route 4 and end
up on Route 95
West, in the local lanes, you can follow that road until you see signs
for Teaneck Road. Take that exit to Teaneck Road where you can
make a right and follow it all the way to Bergenfield. (Cross
reference Turnpike instructions above, from GlenPointe on.)
GENERAL INFORMATION: The Borough of Bergenfield is only 2
square miles, so if you cannot find the Roy W.
Brown Middle School, or the High School, stop and ask anyone for directions.
